Good By Lesson Plan Presentations

Tonight was the last of our lesson plan presentations, and it was kind of bitter sweet. Only three of us had to finish up tonight, and I think it went pretty great!

First up was..

Abigail: I was excited about your presentation on your lesson because I love the orgon trail and I have been reading your blog post about it! I loved the ideas that you presented and the cards with all the facts on them. I love how you used so much modeling, this is so important! Great job!

Kayla: Yay for Kindergarten!! I was really curious to see how you were going to do your number lesson. Of course you did great! I think Kindergarten is such a fun yet important age level to teach! Awesome job!

Dakota: Great presentation, don't let us fool you I am sure we were all super nervous! You did just fine though and I think that was a really neat lesson to teach fourth grade! Measurements are super important, I always struggled with them myself. You did great!

All of our presenters did a great job over the last three weeks with presentations. It excites me with how creative all of our lesson plans were. Who knew most of us have not even worked in a classroom setting before! Keep up the great work everyone!

  1. Rylee,
I also feel like everyone has done a great job. I have loved hearing everyone's ideas and thoughts on what their lesson plans are. I hope that we are able to take these lesson plans and modify them for our future plans. I know for my unit I would love to use this for my students I feel like it could be used to meet more than one standard in not only social studies but as well as reading, math, and writing. Thank you for your feedback about my unit! I have officially finished my project and I feel like I have accomplished the world! I feel like modeling in lesson plans is very important and students need to know exactly what we want from them and they can see this by the way we model an assignment for them.
    Great Post,
    Abagaill

  2. Rylee, you are so right, it is definitely bittersweet to be done with our presentations. I have really enjoyed watching everyone's presentations. Everyone is so creative and went above and beyond. This has been such a great class and I have learned so much, not just from Dr. Steffes, but from all of our classmates. Even in looking at the different grade levels, it has been helpful as it allows us to see what our kids will be learning in future grades to better prepare them.
